Sony's PlayStation Store Black Friday sale started Nov. 4 and runs to Nov. 30 with up to 75% off. Some deals end Nov. 20, so check dates first.

Sony's PlayStation Store Black Friday sale went live Wednesday, Nov. 4, and it runs through Monday, Nov. 30, according to the PlayStation Blog. Sony promises up to 75% off across thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and add-on content. As of Nov. 4, that is the headline. The catch is that this is not one sale. It is two waves, and part of the first wave ends on Nov. 20.

When does the PlayStation Store Black Friday sale start and end?

It started Nov. 4 and ends Nov. 30 at 11:59 p.m. Sony's fine print lists the start as 12:00 a.m. PST, GMT and JST. Game Rant puts it at 12 a.m. PT, which is 3 a.m. ET. Here is the schedule from Sony's own post:

  • Nov. 4: the first wave of discounts begins.
  • Nov. 16, 12 a.m.: the sale refreshes with new offers.
  • Nov. 20, 11:59 p.m.: certain discounts end early, and some are replaced with new offers.
  • Nov. 30, 11:59 p.m.: the whole promotion ends.

The promotional art Sony published says "Ends 11/20." That is accurate for the first wave, but it is easy to read as the end of the whole sale. Sony's fine print says the promotion runs to Nov. 30 and tells shoppers to check each product page. Black Friday itself falls on Nov. 27, so the store sale starts more than three weeks ahead of it, as Game Rant points out. IGN adds that last year's PlayStation sale was limited to the week of Black Friday itself.

Which games has Sony confirmed for the sale?

Sony named 16 titles in a preview on Nov. 3 and said the full list and prices would appear on the store once the deals went live. Push Square's headline puts the live count at more than 2,200 PS5 discounts. Sony's preview list:

  • Marvel's Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition
  • UFC 6 Ultimate Edition
  • Valheim
  • Mortal Shell II
  • NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition
  • Saros Digital Deluxe Edition
  • 007 First Light Deluxe Edition
  • The Blood of Dawnwalker Eclipse Edition
  • Astro Bot
  • Pragmata Deluxe Edition
  • Silent Hill: Townfall
  • Echoes of Aincrad
  • Beast of Reincarnation
  • Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Standard Edition
  • The Sinking City 2
  • Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition

Read the edition names closely. Several of the early picks are premium bundles, and a discount shown for the Deluxe Edition does not tell you what the standard version costs. Sony also says prices and promotions can differ by region. We have not confirmed final U.S. prices for these titles, so none are listed here.

Are PS5 consoles on sale?

Nothing Sony has announced says so. IGN notes that the post does not mention consoles, accessories, PlayStation Plus memberships or a Black Friday bundle. In 2025, IGN reports, Sony offered $100 off consoles and $100 off PS VR2, took $20 off DualSense controllers, and ran a Fortnite bundle. IGN also points out that Nov. 20 is about when Sony rolled out its console deals last year, so a second hardware wave is possible. That is a guess from timing, not an announcement.

Retailers are moving separately. IGN says Best Buy and Amazon have already started early discounts on physical PS5 games, and our guide to the Walmart, Best Buy and Target calendars has their sale dates.

What should you do before you buy?

Start by opening the Black Friday page on the PlayStation Store and checking the date printed on the specific game, not the banner. Put the games you want on your wishlist so a price drop is easy to spot on Nov. 16 and again after Nov. 20. If you prefer a disc, compare the store price against Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon before paying, since retailer prices on physical copies can move on their own schedule.

Our take: an early, nearly four-week sale rewards people who check dates more than people who rush. The long runway and the Nov. 20 cutoff make it easy to buy on day one and then watch the price fall or the offer swap out two weeks later. If you are waiting on a PS5 or controller deal, holding off until after Nov. 20 costs you little, because there is no hardware offer to miss yet.
