The Yellowjackets final season arrives Nov. 20 on Paramount+ Premium. See what the Nov. 5 trailer shows, who joins the cast and which plan you need.

The final season of "Yellowjackets" premieres Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, on Paramount+ for Premium plan subscribers, and the first full trailer arrived Thursday, Nov. 5, according to Paramount+ and Deadline. As of Nov. 6, here is when it starts, which plan you need, what the trailer shows and who has joined the cast.

When does Yellowjackets season 4 come out, and where can you watch it?

Season 4 starts Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, and it is the last one. Paramount+ says it streams exclusively on the service for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers. The same page says seasons 1 and 2 are on Paramount+ under all plans, while season 3 requires the Premium plan, so anyone catching up on a lower tier may hit a paywall partway through. We did not find plan prices in the pages we read, so check Paramount+ for current rates before you sign up.

The series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. Paramount+ describes it as following a girls' high-school soccer team stranded in the northern wilderness after a plane crash, alongside their lives nearly 25 years later.

What does the Yellowjackets season 4 trailer show?

Deadline reports that the trailer follows the 1990s team back to their home in Wisayok, New Jersey, while their adult counterparts in the present day deal with secrets they left in the woods. It is set to a haunting version of "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette, according to Deadline.

The Hollywood Reporter says the trailer cuts between three timelines: the 1990s ordeal after the crash, a new timeline about the survivors after their homecoming, and the present day. It points to a scene where young Taissa, played by Jasmin Savoy Brown, says that "more than anything, we survived because of love."

Who is in the final season cast?

Returning stars include Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya, Jenna Burgess and Hilary Swank, per Paramount+ and Deadline. Guest stars named by Deadline are June Squibb, Elijah Wood, Molly Ringwald, Devon Sawa, Sam Braun and Dulé Hill.

When the final season was announced, the executive producers said they were "excited to announce that we will be bringing the story of 'Yellowjackets' to its twisted conclusion," according to TVLine. They added that the story told them it wanted to end and that their job was to listen.

What should you do before Nov. 20?

  • Check your plan. If you are not on Premium, you need to upgrade to watch season 4 and season 3.
  • Catch up. Seasons 1 through 3 are all on Paramount+, though plan limits apply to season 3.
  • Watch the trailer once. It sets up the new post-rescue timeline, which season 3 viewers will want to see before the premiere.

Our take

This is opinion. Showing the rescue and what comes after is a bold choice for a series built around a mystery in the woods, because the wilderness is where the show has always been most unsettling. A trailer is also built to sell, so it is fair to wait and see whether the homecoming story is as tense as it looks. The three-timeline structure could be thrilling or a lot to follow, and we will not know until episodes arrive.
