## Key takeaways

- Marvel named nine Doomsday Global Tour cities on Nov. 5, Las Vegas first; no dates or guests are announced yet.
- Jeep's "A Jeep 4x4 for Any Universe" ad launched Nov. 6 and runs through December, per Stellantis.
- IGN says the ad is the first official look at Nightcrawler teleporting in the Doomsday world; it is not movie footage.
- Avengers: Doomsday opens in U.S. theaters Dec. 18. The Doctor Strange portal theory is unconfirmed fan speculation.

As of Nov. 7, 2026, Marvel Studios has two new Avengers: Doomsday stories running at once: a nine-city "Doomsday Global Tour" with no dates yet, and a Jeep commercial released Nov. 6 that gives the first official look at Nightcrawler using his powers in the film's world. Avengers: Doomsday opens in U.S. theaters Friday, Dec. 18, about six weeks away.

Here is what is confirmed about the tour and the ad, what is only fan theory, and what to do if you want to see any of it in person.

## Where is the Avengers: Doomsday Global Tour going?

Marvel announced the tour on Thursday, Nov. 5, through a live countdown stream and a post on its official X account, according to Cosmic Book News. The nine stops are Las Vegas, São Paulo, Gold Coast, Rome, London, Seoul, Shanghai, Toronto and Los Angeles. KSNV in Las Vegas also reported that Las Vegas is on the list.

Marvel has not given dates, venues or guest lists for any stop, and neither KSNV nor Cosmic Book News reports any. Laughing Place points out that the list appears to start and end in the United States, so the Los Angeles stop could be the world premiere. Cosmic Book News says reports put that premiere on Dec. 14, but we could not find that date from Marvel or Disney, so treat it as a report rather than a fact.

If you live near Las Vegas, Toronto or Los Angeles, the practical move is to follow Marvel Studios' official accounts and wait for a public event listing. Studio tours like this often include fan events, but Marvel has not said what these stops will offer, so do not book travel yet.

## What does the Jeep Avengers: Doomsday ad show?

The spot is called "A Jeep 4x4 for Any Universe." Stellantis, Jeep's parent company, announced it on Nov. 6 as the third and final chapter of a year-long Jeep and Marvel partnership. It will run through December across broadcast, social media and dealerships in the U.S. and select other markets, per the company's release.

The main spot runs about 50 seconds, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. It sends Jeeps through Avengers Tower in New York, the X-Mansion in Westchester County, New York, the Fantastic Four's universe and Latveria, the country ruled by Doctor Doom. USA Today lists the Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, Gladiator and Wrangler among the models. In one scene The Thing drives a Wrangler, and in another a green Gladiator dodges lasers on the way to the X-Mansion.

IGN reports it is Alan Cumming's first official appearance as Nightcrawler teleporting in the Doomsday world, which would make it his first on-screen teleport since X2 in 2003. IGN is careful to say this is not footage from the movie. It is a commercial built with Marvel's approval.

## Does the ad confirm Doctor Strange is in the movie?

No. IGN notes that the Jeeps return through orange portals like the ones Doctor Strange uses, and that Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the few heroes not yet confirmed for the film. Fans are reading that as a cameo tease. It is a theory, nothing more. Marvel's official cast list does not include Cumberbatch, and neither Marvel nor Jeep has said anything about the portals.

## Why does Marvel keep promoting Doomsday with other brands?

Because the film has a lot of tickets to sell. Cosmic Book News reports advance ticket sales have passed $125 million worldwide, up from $100 million last month, though that is a reported figure, not one from Disney. The same outlet lists this week's other tie-ins: Dunkin' launched a nationwide campaign with four themed restaurant takeovers, and KFC is rolling out a Doctor Doom menu in more than 100 countries from Nov. 9, though not in the U.S.

We have covered the Dunkin' menu separately, including prices, and the release-date guide has the ticket and format details.

## What is confirmed and what is not?

- Confirmed: the nine tour cities, with Las Vegas first, announced by Marvel on Nov. 5.
- Confirmed: the Jeep campaign launched Nov. 6 and runs through December, per Stellantis.
- Confirmed: the movie opens Dec. 18 in the U.S. and Dec. 16 in China, per Cosmic Book News and Disney's movie page for the U.S. date.
- Not confirmed: tour dates, which cast members attend which stop and whether the Los Angeles stop is the premiere.
- Fan theory only: that the portals in the Jeep ad point to Doctor Strange.

## Our take

The Jeep ad is the more interesting of the two, mainly because it shows Marvel is willing to let a partner reveal character moments that the official trailers have held back. A tie-in commercial is a cheap way to test fan reaction without spending footage from the actual film. As for the tour, a list of cities with no dates is a teaser, not an event. The first date announcement is the thing to watch for, and we expect it soon, but that is our guess, not a report.
